we believe - Tenets of Faith

The Scriptures Inspired

Man's Fall and Redemption

The Scriptures Inspired

In our church we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason but not contrary to reason (2 Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)

The One True God

Man's Fall and Redemption

The Scriptures Inspired

We believe the one true God has revealed himself as the eternal self existing, self revealed "I Am", and has further revealed himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association by simultaneously existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29, Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19)

Man's Fall and Redemption

Man's Fall and Redemption

Man's Fall and Redemption

Man was created good and upright, for God said, "Let us make man in our image and after our likeness." Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:17; Romans 5:12-21)

Evidence of Salvation

Evidence of Salvation

Man's Fall and Redemption

We believe the inward evidence to the believer of his/her salvation is a direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16).  The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (I Thess. 4:7; 2 Timothy 1:9)

Baptism in Water

Evidence of Salvation

Baptism in Water

We believe the ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed (as commanded in the scriptures) by that have repented of their sins and believed in faith on Christ as their Savior and Lord.  In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been released to walk with Him in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4).

The Holy Spirit

Evidence of Salvation

Baptism in Water

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service the church and the community. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39)
